To Be a Blessing Benevolence Fund
FootPrints Home Care recognizes that employees may experience hardships requiring emergency financial assistance. In response, the owners of FootPrints Home Care have created the To Be a Blessing 501(c)(3) Charity that will oversee the Benevolence Fund. By creating this fund, the owners of FootPrints hope to ease financial distress and we want our employees to be a part of that work. By partnering together to support fellow employees who find themselves in need, you are making a difference in the lives of one another.
Within the FootPrints Core Value of Servant Heart, we encourage the idea of Ladies and Gentlemen Serving Ladies and Gentlemen and this simply means that we help one another in love. This allows employees to help each other in times of need. It reminds employees that we are all one team and we build each other up. The To Be a Blessing Benevolence Fund will be funded by employees and FootPrints will match dollar for dollar. The Benevolence fund is managed by the FootPrints Benevolence Committee.
The fund is financed by employee contributions that are matched, dollar for dollar, by the owners of FootPrints Home Care, Inc. To participate, employees may elect for donations to be automatically deducted from each paycheck, in any amount they choose. Participation is voluntary; employees may change their contribution amount at any time. All or part of any contributions to the To Be a Blessing Employee Benevolence Fund 501(c)(3) charity, may be tax deductible as a charitable contribution. Please check with a tax advisor for details.
If a FootPrints Home Care employee or an immediate family member is in need of emergency auto repair assistance or emergency medical assistance, a confidential application is submitted to our Employee Care Committee for review and final determination. Upon approval, the To Be a Blessing Charity will allot the needed funds as a tax-free gift to the employee, a gift that you can help give.
At this time, the Benevolence Fund is able to help with:
- Emergency Auto Repairs
- Emergency Medical Assistance
Our hope is that as you begin to see how we can come together as a company to support each other through difficult times, you will want to see that fund grow to help as many co-workers and families as possible. Whether it’s help to fix a car that is your only means of transportation or help paying a bill that seems impossible to pay, we want to see our ladies and gentlemen serving one another.
If you are an employee and would like to contribute through payroll deduction, download and complete this form.
April, 2017 - Our first Benevolence fund payout was to an employee who was gifted a car as a donation from her church. While it was a huge blessing to be gifted a car, she soon found out it needed work beyond what she was could afford. The To Be a Blessing Benevolence fund, which is funded by employees and matched dollar for dollar by the To Be a Blessing Charity was able to help our employee pay for much needed car repairs. She now has a reliable mode of transportation to continue being a blessing to the clients we serve./a>.
